How to Catch a Striper

I have been catching striped bass since 1987.  The best way is to fish with live shad.  Yes, this means a little work on your part.  You will have to get a bait net and a shad tank but it is worth it.  What got me hooked on these fish is when I caught a 38LB. striper in 1988.  It really messes up your crappie fishing!

The first time I used this was in Beaver Lake, Arkansas.
We were at Point 3 cove and not a thing on my sonar.  I hooked this up to my EZ Jigger and within 15 minutes we had fish on my sonar.  It sounds too good to be true but we had so many fish on my sonar that my screen was BLACK!  We started catching the heck out of hybrids and white bass using our own poles with hammered spoons as our lures.
